I am a pastor and serve a church in Soldotna, Alaska. By virtue of my position in ministry, our children are "Preachers Kids" AKA, PK'S. I am sure they each have their own working definition of what that is all about.
When I consider the fact of their listening to me speak on Sunday morning about the grace and love of God in Jesus Christ and then having to get up and listen to me on Monday morning, of all people, I am amazed that they each have a desire and passion for faith.
Our children have seen their father in the best and worst of times. Still, Brandon our son is in Bible college as he prepares for ministry, Amber will soon go to a school of worship to prepare for ministry, and Katie our youngest is on the worship team at church and serves as one of the leaders in our youth group.
Being "Preachers Kids" our children have seen some "stuff " in the church that is out of rhythm with the message of grace and they have seen their dad with all of his imperfections. When I see that God has worked through the "STUFF" and my personal imperfections and to think our kids still have a heart for ministry I see a reflection of grace.
